Lion Cubs are Scouts who are in Kindergarten or the year prior to first grade and adult family members. Lion Cubs complete 5 adventures to earn the Lion badge. After earning their Lion badge, Lion Cubs work on projects in different elective areas until they complete Kindergarten (or turn 7 years old).
Tiger Cubs are first-grade Scouts (or those who are 7 years old) and adult family members. Tiger Cubs complete 7 adventures to earn the Tiger badge. After earning their Tiger badge, Tiger Cubs work on projects in 11 different elective areas until they complete the first grade (or turn 8 years old).
The Wolf rank is for second-grade Scouts (or those who are 8 years old). Wolf Cubs complete 7 adventures to earn the Wolf badge. After earning their Wolf badge, Wolf Cubs work on projects in 11 different elective areas until they complete the second grade (or turn 9 years old).
The Bear rank is for third-grade Scouts (or those who are 9 years old). Bear Cubs work on 7 adventures to earn the Bear badge. After earning their Bear badge, Bear Cubs work on projects in 11 elective areas until they complete the third grade (or turn 10 years old).
Webelos is for fourth and fifth-grade Scouts (or those who are 10 years old). Webelos Scouts work on 7 adventures for the Webelos badge, 16 elective adventures, and the Arrow of Light award (the highest award in Cub Scouting) in preparation for Scouting.
The Arrow of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouting. A Cub Scout who has earned the Arrow of Light Award is eligible to become a Scout.
